Yeah I always found those too similar as well. More like Gaston at first but Steele is friggin more evil than both of them: he is ok with killing his team, Balto and an entire town of sick children so he can still be the hero.
Actually yes: Jim Cummings voiced Steele and Jeremy Irons voiced Scar but Jeremy's voice gave out during the Be Prepared song - so everything you hear after "you wont get a sniff out of me" is actually Jim Cummings singing the last part: but you could never tell. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5WsZdDDQ8b0&list=RD5WsZdDDQ8b0&start_radio=1 If you dont know it: you cant hear it but once you know you can hear a little difference but it is not something you would pick up on without knowing.
Jim is an amazing vocieactor: he does Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, and he also sings "In the dark of the night" instead of Christoper Lloyd in Anastasia so he is basically Rasputin too.
