Ok, this is the official demo version now. Code is pretty much complete, from now on it's preeeetty much just level editing and refining.
Don't know when the final game will be out, but it might be a few more weeks.

I made versions for MacOSX and Linux now too, for the lifestylers and nerds under you. ;P

Please note that you have to run ConfigLinux, or the game won't start. It should "Notify" you that this is necessary, but for some reason no message window pops up.
Also, on my Ubuntu 11.04 and the nvidia drivers for my geforce 560, the menu system was EXTREMELY unresponsive when Vsync was turned off, so if you have that problem, turn on Vsync.

you dont have a windows version?

It dont take much to port c++ to windows from linux just changing a few minor things :)

This design actually looks somewhat familiar, it reminds me of a game I played years and years ago, like back in 1999... I wish I could remember the name! But the goal was kinda similar! Do you know what I am talking about or do I just sound like a crazy person? lol!

Yeah, there were a couple of games in that vein already, with a whole bunch of shitty java/flash versions heaped on top of that.
The oldest one is probably "Deflektor" albeit that one was more on the arcade side.

Yes yes!!! That is it! Omg I need to find that game now. I knew it started with an "O" and I kept wanting to say "Onyx" but I knew that wasn't right. XD I was close though! Thank you! <3

I like it, though i hasn't finished the demo, just one observation: that pop-up parts panel is really annoying, I think it would be great if it was placed permanently on one side (like in the command and conquer games)

Thank you, and the panel stays open in resolutions higher than 1024 x 768. It's really meant to be played at 1920 x 1080. ;P

At least optionally? Like a tick box on the corner of the window. Or just use smaller icons for smaller resolution to stick it there, 'cos personally I find it pretty annoying on my laptop when I try to place a piece and it just keeps popping up till I drag the board away ;p just my two cents.

Uh, they would be very distant relatives. As in, both being puzzle games that require you to go from a start to an end. You know, like World of Warcraft and Tomb Raider are both games played from 3rd person perspective and you kill things. :)

neat worked well on my machine
one thing though at the 1920x1080 res i ran it would scroll away will there be huge long maps later?

Haha, not in its currents state. I'd hve to do some pretty big changes, and even then I'd have to rewrite it for "Monkey", which is the next version of the language that I wrote this in, and which CAN compile for android.

Will the OS X version work with OS X 10.4.8 (the highest version that runs my ancient Photoshop CS without freezing) on a G4 IBM PowerPC? OK, I realize that my system is a fossil encased in amber, but there are NO VIRUSES EVER!...

Now.. The menu box kinda got in the way, at least in windowed mode, and the camera control was a biiiit twitchy..

BUT... This is absolutely exceptional work! I'm quite impressed.

I look forward to seeing the final version. :]
