Personally I just put on random dungeon equipment because the way the GMs eyes light up when they finally get to actually inflict a cursed item on a player is worth it every time. Worst case scenario I might have a handicapped character for a bit while the party looks for a way to revert things.
Best case scenario I become friends with the cursed item and we both decide that we work better together as a team anyways.
