Chara is a secret character in needle travels, appearin’ as an Easter egg in the Dream World as a mirage or hallucination. chara previously lived with their parents in Sunday Town (a town based on a place in british columbia, canada). Although hambo was friends with chara until they and their parents disappeared, the truth is that some monsters, such as kalligo and nano, never liked them, accordin’ to what is said ‘bout the two of them. they had a rather lazy attitude when it came to helpin’ with their chores, and they also told bad jokes ‘bout flowers and plants, which caused both kalligo and nano to stop bein’ friends with chara, makin’ chara very sensitive to losin’ friends. their current whereabouts, alon’ with those of their parents, are unknown. However, it seems that both chara and their parents were members of a secret sect, as several humans and monsters NPCs tell hambo bout it. apparently, chara lived on a pumpkin farm with their parents on a small hill away from sunday town. however, the house is abandoned. hambo and kindton also miss chara, despite bein’ annoyin’ and lazy to others such as kalligo, nano, and others. chara first appears in chapter 1 of toy kingdom, near the mirages of joyjoy ruins. Chara seems to be trying to say something, but if the player approaches Chara, they will disappear. the group also find them in chapter 2, in the hall of mirrors at kim kasino, playing’the same role as in the previous chapter. In chapter 3, they will appear as a shadow in a hard-to-reach place in the white desert. However, they will also appear as an NPC in a city-like place in the second part of the prophefy minigame. an 8-bit version of chara will appear as an easter egg, but with blank eyes. they will also appear in the third part of prophecy, in the same way that they appears and disappears in the previous chapters. they can also be seen in the abandoned temples of the Ancient World, but only part of their appearance will be visible. If the group approaches them, they will.disappear as in their other appearances, their appearance is similar to the original chara, except that they are taller than their counterpart, with red cheeks, brown hair, a green shirt with dark green overalls, and no shoes. they have a fairly neutral expression.
