Rudolph and Hermey hardly ever had time to hang out since the former started a family and the latter had been busy with dental duties.
One day, Rudolph decided he needed one night out of the cave. So he left Clarice and Janice to have a ladies night while he spent the night at Hermey's log cabin.
They had themselves a good night, spending hours sharing stories of all they accomplished and watching football, all before passing out in front of the fireplace.
Rudolph loved Clarice and Janice, but he also deserved time with Hermey. He loved Hermey too, so much so that he thought of him as not just a friend, but the brother he never had.
