Sounds about right... eh, poor guy. Though kind of fun to hear Rivenlod even point it out, acknowledging that the death of those guards was pointless and he probably wouldn't bother killing them if "the crowd" didn't called for their deaths... therefore, killing them served his message.

Also, maybe it's because we just haven't gotten to see him much in the previous saga of the comic - having him work from the shadows rather than be "on the screen" - but in this new saga, with Mark and all, Rivenlod he shows off more personality. Being/becoming a bit more of a character in there instead of "just the bad guy who briefly popped up then and there", it's a nice/interesting development of this story. At least I feel so?(not that I know whole lot about storytelling lol, yes I've been trying to get more familiar with the topic, reading & listening to some of the stuff since wanted to create a story or few myself sometime, but I don't have much experience in the matter.)

Hmm... For me it's fine, sometimes a villain's character arc is good, sometimes it helps to make him more human, so to speak. Perhaps in the future you can show the motivations that led him to be that way.

Personally, I like to see when a villain is ultimately just a normal person who was corrupted by something that led they to such extreme decisions.
