The Grand Galloping Gala has come again. It is the party of the year, and that draws the Apple Family's outcast, Bad Apple. He comes to snoop, to see his relative, and to be among the glamour ponies. What he never expected was to find a kindred spirit. The one being in Equestria who truly understands.

Hah! You know, I had guessed similar things about BA, but I hadn't actually seen it spelled out- I'm filled with a small amount of pride knowing that I was right, but the other half of it is the appreciation of good writing. You spill little bits through his personality and dealings, and in that way you show him to us, rather than tell. Incredibly rare.
I never really considered it, but it makes sense that an appreciation of craft is a good way to woo the darker princess. She's an artist, after all, just with a very large brush. By that same mote, I particularly enjoyed her little enactions through creativity. Small touches like that can make a story for me.

I was hoping the other version would be read, but both say the same thing. I've just grown to love the pony I've come to call English Renaissance Luna. I love fancy old-timey language :)
Heh. Your words are most kind and you are quite a good soul for saying all that. Bad Apple is a character of mysteries or at least of obfuscations. He deserves to be seen through a glass darkly, dripping hints here and there. Even his own Chronicles only show his baseline, not the "him" as it fully is. I daresay the only pony to know him is himself; even Luna can't comprehend everything.
