You guys knew I'd do this sooner or later, right?
Allow me to introduce, and show you its features, my new starter crossbow for first job Lv12 thru Lv30 until I can make use of my beloved Heckler. This is a Jörg Sprave inspired evolution of his Adder series of rapid crossbows. This is my new King Cobra, which name and performance wise, was also inspired by Bell helicopter's AH-1. My King Cobra is as fast as Jörg's Adders, but features the ability to use both short "Adder" series of rapid fire bolts to make quick followup shots, and make use of full length bolts used by both the Heckler and Nishada on my back for maximum flexibility.

Rapid fire magazine mode follows all Adder models in principle, and uses the same short bolts, the only difference being my King Cobra holds 25 bolts to the Mk-3 Adder's 18. While single shot, long bolt mode allows me to use the same full length bolts used by all standard, and Maple Signature crossbows for more tactics flexibility in field. Power wise, my King Cobra is three attack points higher than the starter crossbow, but makes up with volume of fire. This aids all Lv12 archers taking the crossbow path's lives much easier due to game mechanics dictating crossbows be slow to reload and followup shot as opposed to bows. Another inherent advantage my King Cobra features is a special three shot burst akin to an under performing Strafe which can be fully unlocked by level 15.

A smart crossbower could opt to scroll their Cobra to boost damage output, and hold and use it well into their level 20's and make life easier with general mob grinding and money making with the general monsters around Lv20 giving out some good coin loot. In-so-doing saving up for your Lv38 Heckler much easier... not to mention the armors you'd need from Lv30 onward... and the MP pots to power your Cobra with. Gotta keep that dakka dakka-ing after all!

Yeah so if Classic Worlds is going to be a thing, and WE ALL HOPE it's gonna be very much like the original, with NPC storage and all those goodies, I could see a starter crossbow like this would be appealing to returning players who still love the archer/crossbower classes *cough* If anything, a three shot burst "mini strafe" skill inherent to a King Cobra would help newbies and lowbies a great deal getting started. And common... early dakka... YES PLEASE!
