Nyxbarion, Nemesis in Night - By Fausto_XIII
Nyxbarion, ah yes. One of my most notable subjects. I can't recall how he got the knowledge to bargain with me, the God of Blood, but he made his competence known all too well. With enough blood to drown a city, the bat got more than my attention. A proposition of power passed his lips to rule the night. To bestow the start of a great legacy of slaughter and tyranny.
To be fair, it sounded like something up Bane's alley. I suppose the generous display of blood would have been better accommodating those it belong to...alive. Now, this wasn't my first time dealing with Zambrios. I did help with the creation on Miasma. So what harm would another project be?
"Great God of Blood and Vitality, here my plea as your new mouthpiece of carnage! Viscero! Grant my lineage the bloodlust under the night's veil and the savagery to match! Should our umbral proficiency be unparalleled, so to will your goblet be overflowing with blood!"
Honestly speaking, he had me at "Great God". But, what was really funny is that there was no night in his world. All there had been was Luminestra's light. The very Primordial of Light and Mother of Dragons. It worked. I humored him and let his "reign" begin. What I didn't foresee was the coup of the Light. With the primal light gone, there was only darkness. And Nyxbarion flourished.
Thus ushered in the Dark Days and the rise of the Dayenders. Ohhhh, there was so much blood it was simply intoxicating. I dared not question his methods, but he made me watch. Farming captives, healing rituals of longevity, and much more. His magnum ops soon came to existence. The Blood Moon.
An almighty effigy of his devolution and passion to slaughter. To say I was pleased, would be an understatement. His domain was ever expanding. His wisdom and intelligence outsmarted every hero who was foolish to oppose him. But, luck simply was not on his side. For his downfall, was nothing he could have prepared for.
To the north of the continent of Shima, rest a small settlement called Jennesstown. If I recall correctly, a demon lord got his hands on the settlers and performed similar atrocities themselves. Who can say? But, the demon lord soon left leaving their descendants in charge. And so, the people began to pray. For a new light. Funny enough, I was talking with Belinus, God of the Sun, at the time for a spot of blood and sunshine tea party.
Haha! He answered the call and created a Sun for Zambrios. Staggering and obliterating Umbral kind. Nyxbarion was not spared. He was quickly disposed of and just as quickly as the Dark Days came, the faster they left. Sigh, unfortunate. Though, their lineage still lives on. A bit of a boon still under the night sky, but the savagery and vitality is simply no more. Now, if you excuse me, there seems to be a Ferret Fencer challenging my legion. Should make quick work of this~!
