In the picture, Rin and Elly are sitting in the park and holding hands, with the company of Hera, formerly a Vulpix that Elly received for her third birthday in 1980. Born in 1966, Hera had evolved into a Ninetales earlier in the day on December 13, 1986, the same day that Rin celebrated his ninth birthday. The soft glow of Hera's fur - as seen in this picture - makes her stand out from other Ninetales on Planet Vasti; on a daily basis, Rin and Elly give Hera a bath and brush Hera's fur (both of which Hera finds very soothing), resulting in a luxuriously lustrous coat. In return for Rin's and Elly's daily care, Hera gives Rin, Elly, Yuki, and the other girls a lifetime of warm winter nights in front of the fireplace.

Designed to simulate still video cameras of the 1980s and early 1990s that stored still frames on so-called "video floppy disks", this was created using the VHS Camcorder app by Rarevision (available on iPhone, iPad, and Android), and edited with Photoshop CS6. The on-screen display font used is called "VCR OSD Mono". The date stamp is a reference to the time and date of my birth in real life.
