I'm not even considering the generic French wolf as a contender for "furry of the year" mainly because he just appeared during the last three weeks of the year so it seems like fandom never really considers lasting popularity and you can just win this stupid little contest by just coming in late in the game. I cannot imagine him still being popular six months from now. Also loses points for me for being an advertising mascot.
