I think this is more based around the fact that she's going to have to end up leaving it all behind because of the transfer orders she was just assigned

I think its a mix of the overwhelm of so many conflicting emotions. Like how do you even process everything that happened today and whats about to happen in the very near future. I don't think I would have been able to hold it together as long as Star did.

Compartmentlization...but I'm not the author so what do I know. I just know if I walked into a scene that cute that someone i loved set up for me, only to know this might be the last time I see them, for months would break me.

I think its all those thoughts squished together. So yeah quite the tough situation

this panel actually speaks alot to me. in 2011 i got my orders to deploy, i had just found a group of people that really felt like it was what i was missing i had friends that felt like they knew me my whole life, i could share my secret sides with and they embraced it, i was so excited to finally deploy and do what i always wanted... but that feeling of having to say goodbye.... possibly for the last time was really heart wrenching. i arrived to the airport to fly out and they had all showed up ahead of time to see me off. que soldier in uniform crying as they hugged their friends goodbye. Anyway thanks for bringing up a happy memory Star<3

Yeah, she's had an emotional Rollercoaster of a day.

The fact the last two pages was a lot of reading.
Having a page without words makes this so much stronger.
It's pretty cool that way.
Poor Star, she really have enough of it all. Can't imagine how overwhelming it all has been for her. A lot happened in that one singular day.

Yeah that was all done on purpose. To sorta take in the chaos, really almost overwhelm the reader and then the minute there is a pause/silence...it falls apart. Sometimes I think folk can be quite good at talking past the emotion. Like if you just speed past you can get away with it not affecting you. (like in the previous pages star just "keep smiling, keep smiling no one will know" But if you take that moment to pause/breath. Its right there on top of you waiting to escape.

As a kid this was what I called my "Cristal Bunker" (I thought Crystal was weak and broke easily) because it was all face but as soon as I was alone with someone really asking me how I was, waiting for a real answer, it all crumbled in a split second an I couldn't hold the tear in... I think your 3-4 face transitions is a perfect retranscription of what I remember feeling.

I think she's got a big decision to make, continue or say no and walk away, its clearly hurting her now

It's been a while since I've caught up with Shine, but seeing this I feel like I should again. Shine was what first introduced me into the ideas of ageplay and abdl, and I don't ever regret it. It was probably 5 or maybe even 6 years ago. I don't quite recall how I found it, but I think it was through some YouTube video dubbing it (I think up to 100 pages at most). It lead me to finding it on my own over on furrific (back when that site was still up) and reading it. But now reading the most recent few and seeing where's it's gone since then, it's crazy. I know I ended up rambling, but overall I just wanted to say thank you for making such a great story!

I decided to look back at a video I distinctly remember watching at some point around that time, and it's now 8 years old. So could've been even longer than that...

I felt this too hard. The breakdown after being so tough and upbeat for a stressful day... poor Star. Gotta feel those feelings though. Healthy to get it out and process it.
