Welp compared to other "backlog" pieces there are pretty recent relatively speaking so I wont tack on that to the name like I did for others.

These heads of Sass & Leif were the ones I put together after specifically doing some study sketches. The two Sass ones honestly came out pretty rough but given how nice the Birthday one would come out in the first proper piece using the techniques learnt here I dont feel the worst about them.

The first one was just flat and wide, I didnt really get the perspective feeling right giving it a very dumpy look. I do like the red eye concept as it is pretty cute, making the eye change color acting as a sort of mood ring is a neat idea especially given how much expression replacing it with such a clunky augment takes away.

The second Sass head tried to address the problems ofthe first but came with its own issues, although I really love how the eye came out on it and while I thought the slightly smaller rendition of the Astrogator Eye might look neat I think I prefer the larger one. The darker ear colorings are pretty nice too but the sort of crest feathers and side feathers of the facial disk leave more to be desired.

The Leif head was the third and easily the best of the batch I think as it addressed almost all the problems of the other two while also still being cute and expressive, albeit with a simpler closed mouth. I think the kneck also helps it out quite abit :P
