It was bothering me that their ears looked like a tacked on feature, that they only had one nostril suggesting pure usage as scent, an eye that was overlaid on the ulani (skull) plating rather than recessed, that the sensory feathers were short and too much like a feather, that there were no real contact points for jewelry, and that the tissue between the upper and lower jaw looked more like an afterthought, as well as being too short.

I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to make the new ear design feel less naked where it comes out from the plating near the cheek, but I'm also exhausted and fairly certain I drew it from the wrong angle since this was supposed to be a side view and came out more like a profile trying to be a 3/4 at the same time. Figuring out their anatomy from extensive research and how to better integrate it has been driving me up a wall (in a good way!)
