So, I was approached by Zelda on FA (https://www.furaffinity.net/user/zezelarts/). She showed interest with Lazz and was interested about doing a commission. I know that it's far left field for an artist to directly reach out to someone, that's generally a red flag. It was after chatting with her for a bit I could see the interest and ideas that she had for him. Very open to communication and was willing to give me a sketch before working out a payment so, what did I have to loose at that point *Bleps*
This in turn is the results. I wouldn't call this "Lazz 2.0", it's the art style from checking out some of her other stuff on her Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/zuuu_arts/?igsh=MTZnbDJneGk4aDdzcA%3D%3D). That art style stuck with me more as I didn't have anything like that for Lazz, let alone a reference sheet. This turned out way better than expected and with the different styles and flexibility that she has, I will likely be hitting her up for a commission again when I have the "fun money" to do it <(^.=.^)>

Well the biggest thing is that you don't commit until you're sure what the terms and services are. Zelda had a fondness of Lazz and was upfront about pricing, terms and, duration for how long it would take. It's about talking to them and asking the important questions for business to occur. If you even feel like there is a sense of urgency for getting the commission from the artist is when you need to question about going through it/dropping communication (If you haven't paid). She was awesome enough to work with pricing so, I didn't feel like I would be strapped for money for getting it completed.
Most cases it's usually the commissioner asking the artist for the commission. It's almost never the artist asking if your interested, directly. That's where you have to be on your toes from the start if that happens. I was lucky that this person meant what they said and delivered. That's the reason why I will consider to use them again; They kept their word and stood in contact for the whole process <(^.=.^)>
That was before they got paid which, could have been a risk on their part for doing the work and, sending me a sketch. It's all trust at the end of the day and your heart, mind and, gut feeling is what should keep you out of harms way.

*Nods rapidly* That's what I was thinking as well. I didn't think that it would be this "badass"! I was just interested to see how the art style would look. Zelda was the one that pointed out if I would be interested in a ref sheet since I didn't have one. She was open to anything that I could think of but, I know that this was the best choice I could make <(^.=.^)>
