Despite the glut of fuzzy-looking tv animation that was produced in the 80s/90s.. seemingly there was no seventysomething episode long single-season show about neat anime fox lady pirates wearing poofy trousers :| awh, *sigh* babby Bodiecrumb would have been obsessed (*ΦωΦ*)

Just from looking at a trailer- hell yeh it's full of Miyazaki'isms, with the swarming goons, the enthusiastic focus on weaponry, that slapsticky action. Easy to see how something like Cagliostro follows after. Love that warm 'n' juicy color pallette.
I forgot to say so, but got'dam- your work is sumptiously pretty. And this one is now among my faves.

Really excellent work with all these, as always, fox-pop. These all really exemplify some of the stuff I love the most about your work! Thanks to the "subs", though, my brain keeps trying to translate them and hear them in Japanese but I'm nowhere near good enough to do so... I'm certain I could imagine what their VAs would be like. I can even hear the waves crashing in this one -- seriously! So much life and movement despite being a still frame.
