I suddenly found these sketches with Rattmar and Perenel, and decided to work on them a little because they're good, and I think I should show them.

I've written about Perenel before. She is Ratt's younger sister, and he loves her very much. These two have a warm, truly touching relationship, although Ratt treats Perry partly like a daughter, since they have a very big age difference, and he's no longer a child.
It's probably not surprising that Perenel was one of the few who calmly accepted Ratt's new appearance when he was cursed (I talked a little about this here). The other two were Khai and Aerys, but they both knew about the nature of his curse, while Perenel knew nothing about it, and yet she wasn't afraid and treated her brother as if he hadn't changed at all. And I think it was important to him.

There are many things I would like to explain, but I feel tired, so I'll just tell you a little about each of these sketches.

Sketch at the top:
Ratt carries Perenel away from their disease-ridden hometown, where there is no reason for them to stay.
And oh... walking on four legs is not normal for schigls (in fact, they only walk on two), but it has become quite convenient for Ratt in his new form.

Sketch in the center left:
The sad moment when Perenel meets Ratt for the first time after he was cursed. The pain on her face is not related to the changes in her brother's appearance. She was afraid he wouldn't come back. During the months Ratt was wandering, many town inhabitants died of disease, and among them were Kestrel (his and Perenel's mother) and Aldvin (Perenel's father). She had no one left but Ratt. However, Ratt had no one left but Perenel too, but he was an adult and could take care of himself. As for Perenel...
This is not their first meeting after his return to the town. And Ratt was going to take Perenel under his care as soon as he found out she was orphaned. But he also had other matters that he believed were urgent. It was these matters that led him to the curse that changed his appearance. And it was this curse that made him think he was not doing what he really should. Maybe he was right, maybe not, but in this sketch, hugging Perenel, he feels guilty, because no one needed him as much as she did.

Sketch in the center right:
Once I clearly saw Ratt standing in the doorway, in this pose, against the backdrop of pale mist. Perhaps this is the moment when he sneaks into the house of Aldvin's friend, who temporarily sheltered Perenel, in order to secretly take her away from there. And he hesitated for a moment, either afraid of being discovered, or imagining how he would frighten Perenel with his disfigured appearance.

Sketch at the bottom:
Another moment from the same part of the story, where everything is definitely not okay. And Ratt knows it, but he also knows that Perenel believes him. It doesn't matter what he thinks or feels, as long as she doesn't think or feel the same way.
