After the citizens of Mobotropolis return to the world from a four-year evacuation to Mobodoon, Prince Manic Hedgehog is sent to find out what the War for the Planet was all about, and locate this 'Hero of Mobius' people are speaking of.
He doesn't expect to discover that a lot has happened in the last fifteen years while Mobotropolis was closed off. Dr. Robotnik is still alive, and goes by Dr. Eggman? He has a daughter? There was a Metal Virus? He's caring for the hero, who has memory problems? And why can't he meet him? And... why is this strangely caring version of the doc so... intriguing?
As Manic searches for answers, he finds himself questioning more about himself and what he truly wants out of life.
Chapter 5: Perks of a "Pauper" is here! While Eggman gets Sonic to try and remember more of his past, Manic decides to use his unintended free time to start exploring the city. A chance encounter has him really enjoying life outside of the castle, questioning what his future should hold.
