Though Lazlow's design hasn't changed much over the years, I felt it time to maybe give him a bit of a 2025 treatment, and a bit of flair to the design of my profile pics in general. I'll see you in 2028 when I get around to doing one with Merrick. :'p

You already know his schtick by now, so how about a lore dump this time around? In the form of a persona profile of him kept in the kingdom records. Emovere are supposed to be registered with the kingdom, if one chooses to be a citizen under the royal governance. Not solely for tracking purposes, but also for citizen rights to be given to them despite the on and off nature of their quasi-existences. But indeed also for tracking. Individuals must be held accountable for what their Emovere get up to. Dakota chose to keep his Emovere a secret, which may have been prudent in the case of Lazlow, who has not kept such a low profile as he had intended.


Lazlow, the Cognitoboggler

Sphere: Emovere Avaritia: Greed, ambition, selfishness (Note: Unregistered with kingdom)

Species: Form of canine, specifically chihuahua

Gift: Hypnotic supersuggestion. A two pronged assault on the senses that combine low to mid tier magic, and pheromones that can implant false memories, force urges, distort perception, reroute neural pathways, and in some cases cause hallucinations or induce a state of suggestibility indistinguishable from mind control. Powers grow stronger with sense of his sense of control and personal excitement. Known to be able to suppress people's memories to to the point of erasure. Actuated via dialogue primarily. Eye contact has some effect as well, but usually compounds with primary mechanism. Gift classification: Disruptor - Grade B

Hypervescence: "Haunting." Activation emotion: Unchallenged hubris, particularly with a profound sense of victory. Purple smoke emanates from being. Appears to flicker and "glitch" like a ghost who can't quite make up its mind. Eyes glow a piercing green, voice becomes ethereal and twangy. Hypnotic capabilities crank up to max. Affected thralls tend to dance and follow behind and act as extensions to his own mind. Environment may also bend and dance to an unheard melody. Average period 1 to 3 minutes, but thrall may linger much longer beyond Hypervescent mode.

Personality profile: Charming, polite, well-spoken. Narcissistic tendencies. Makes friends easily, but nomadic habits interfere with meaningful relationships. Becomes highly agitated when sufficiently challenged, and quick to flee.

Battle classification: Prankster-Sadist. Primary function to disrupt formations and inflict debuff states.

Known tidbits: -Approximately four feet tall, estimated around 80 pounds. Age not applicable as Emovere are fleeting beings, but seems to be a young adult.
-Identifies in the masculine most of the time, but makes use of ambiguous appearance and voice to pose as a female, a minor, or even as a feline, when such a persona benefits him.
-Known electrical and mechanical aptitude, possible university experience. No known career, takes low-intensity odd jobs, and likely uses hypnotic powers to panhandle.
-Known cheater in card games, kicked out of multiple gambling halls.
-Missing persons reports tend to follow him around, with victims usually resurface, confused, within a couple days of the report. Possible connection. Petty theft rates also elevate in conjunction with his whereabouts.
-Prefers intense flavor profiles, yet low tolerance to spiciness.
-Considered mentally stable, but moderate public safety threat.
