NoneHumanity was ready for the fate that awaited them in the few moments that remained. An enormous foot—black-soled with a red stripe down the middle at the heel—replaced the blue sky of the day, blocking out the radiant sunlight with a darkness that foreshadowed the crushing death for the millions of microscopic humans at the mercy of the divine power wielded by the owner of the gigantic foot.
Shadow, who hasn't even begun to get over Maria's death, feels a fire, a burning intensity within him that must be quelled and extinguished. Taking the lives of those who killed her was the quick solution; all of humanity had to pay a very high price, regardless of their innocence. Mercy didn't exist in that moment, and they didn't deserve it in the slightest.
With his foot still suspended in the air, Shadow, frowning and with a sneer of contempt, uttered words that denoted his cruelty.
"Hmph, insects, don't expect compassion...not after what happened to Maria."
Soon, the foot descended even further, sweat pouring down like an apocalyptic rain, mingled with the strong, earthy, musky scent of the dirt clinging to the sole of the enormous foot of the gigantic Mobian who was about to erase from the face of the earth millions of stories and futures cut short by a disproportionate yet justified desire for revenge in his twisted mind. Shadow sighed and groaned with the deepest and most sincere pleasure, feeling a profound relief in his corrupted soul as the foot sank with a loud crunch into the ground as if he were treading on damp, lumpy sand. It wasn't just the sensory sensation that relaxed him; the knowledge that millions of humans—innocent and harmless—had been there calmed and soothed him.
He smiled, satisfied with his cruel act against humanity. It was justice, what he had done was right, and there was no remorse in his gaze as it rested upon the remains of humanity, transformed and reduced to a grotesque biomass of millions of bodies liquefied into flesh and bone ground to a heavy foot.
