Kaleida Student Notes | Cave Stinkhorn
Another month, another desert ecologist, this time the ispep 315. 315 has written a brief introduction to the cave stinkhorn that shows up occasionally in and around Coral Beach and the desert inland, using a modified chemical signal-to-print screen. They also took a scan of a specimen.
Perhaps understandably, 315 considered the cave stinkhorn's smell - a chemical signal or sorts - more distinctive than its appearance. Ispep tend to be slower than most other species to use their vision and are likely to comment on smells and other chemical traces first.
