oh, my understanding is that the Arc Raiders AI use was with the understanding of the people involved.

Their choice was:
You give your voices to our AI, or you don't get a job.

That's not asking for consent, that's a threat.

i mean fair, although I heard the AI voices were placeholder to allow faster content drop, as opposed to the AI stuff thrown into blackops which was not even relevant to the game theme. that whole thing was just garbage.

From what ive learned, Arc uses AI not for desighning anything but to Move the robots, they puppet the bodys which the arcs dont use any set animations at all, this allows them a Extreme level of adaptability, such as leapers able to adjust to land steadily on any terrain, Usualy, it also learns to adjust its attacks, such as if a bombard cant moartar you, it will adjust its position and try a new angle to fire on you

They use AI for voices.

AI feels like an abusive relationship at this point. Worsens our lives and imposes itself whether we like it or not.

People talked about "made-with-AI" being important as an ingredient list on food, but for games.

Many people raised the counterpoint that "Made-with.AI" is not the same as potentially dangerous substances in food and not as important.

They may have a point, but here is another: Lifestyle diet. Avoiding meat cus you are a vegetarian doesn't have anything to do with eating dangerous substances cus meat ain't dangerous.

But it is a matter of lifestyle, and like how some people do not want to consume meat, or do not want to consume palm-oil in their soaps, I do not want to consume AI in my software, programs or games.

Decent analogy. But not everyone is a Vegetarian and might counter it by saying "Well i'm not vegetarian, so i don't care."

First time I dealt with AI was when I was playing Alien Isolation. Thankfully it wasn't a learning AI just a predictive algorithm. Got fun when I figured out to how to use it's predictive skills against it's self.
Still, I can see why it'd be irritating. I mean, turns out. One of my favorite (And frustrating) shooters Wild Assault has been using adaptive ai in their bots

This is about Generative AI (aka GenAI) and such, which are not AI to begin with but LLMs. They were rebranded as AI by Tech Companies because it sound cooler ("It's like a Robot, dude")
