Another spontaneous attempt at Blue's trusty steed! I actually like this one a bit more than the last attempt, and I just love my earthy colors. I decided to try a pallet swatch and used most of the colors while adding a few extras. Heavily inspired by the Tenontosaurus, but I decided to add a thicker mane that stands up like a zebra. Went a little more loose for the tail portion. The pattern is inspired by the pronghorn with a little bit of extra flecks to add some more color. I also really like the idea of incorporating some sort of green, and I had a fun idea that the horn on his saddle will be green because... greenhorn... hahafunnyjokeplzlaugh. Also I saw someone put saddlebags on a dinosaur's tail... and my mind was BLOWN because it was SUCH a good idea and made sense for something with such a long tail. I had to incorporate it into the design for the specie.


Still unsure of a name but I know I want to make it female and a bit smart to show a bit more character throughout the story. I've always liked a smarter but still animalistic sidekick/pet. I have an idea that Duban's mount might be more white, as a reference to the movie "Pale Rider", or make it dark so that it doesn't stand out as much. We'll see! Might make it inspired by the Appaloosa pattern or the Fjord horse's mane with a pinto coat... hmmmm...
