Kevin James O’Hara is a 33-year-old male typhlosion who works as the eponymous owner and head baker of Big Kev’s Bakery. There, he leads a team of bakers in creating trays of delectable cookies, cakes, pies and pastries, among other treats for his hometown community of Sorataka to enjoy. He takes great pride in his craft, believing that although eating good food is fun, making good food from scratch is even better; and the only thing superlative to that being sharing homemade good food with others. Such was the animus for opening his bakery.

Culinary expertise aside, Big Kev is also adored by many as the quintessential example of a gentle giant: a big guy with a big heart who lives life to the fullest. His staggering size for a typhlosion may intimidate other mon, but his bright, beaming smile he wears everywhere and the positively infectious laughter in his rustic tone quickly clear any doubts to let them know that he is easy to befriend. If anything, he sees his unnaturally rotund shape as an advantage plus his natural fire-typing when pulling others into his soft body to give them the best hugs this side of the Mirai Region.

His inspiration comes from his father. One day, as a chubby quilava, Kev watched his father make his favorite chocolate-chip cookies from scratch. Watching his father take flour, eggs, sugar, butter and of course the chocolate-chips; and turn them into a crisp, crunchy cookie was a magically mindblowing sight for Kevin. He was then determined to replicate the recipe on his own, starting a trajectory of practice-makes-perfect that would culminate in him learning the ropes of opening a business. He’s enjoyed sharing his creations with his hometown community, and his father is Kev’s biggest fan.
