These are just flowers in his head. However, I like your idea about him being a poet. The name is a clue, definitely XD Yet it was an Easter Egg for another thing as Arnoux Pasternak is one of the Luminaries from Disco Elysium history. There is no info on him, only the name and a believe he was an awful dictator, but I liked the combo of the names and decided to use the surname for this character. I didn't develop his story a lot, but I'll add something into his biography further on~
