I do my Star Trek fanclub's monthly newsletter, and I like to include an activity of some kind in each issue. (Note: Club's a chapter of Starfleet International, and they actually give out awards for stuff like "best website" and "most informative newsletter." So I put some effort into my club duties.) Usually it's a coloring page. Sometimes it's a Trek-related recipe. and sometimes it's a craft how-to. This month I wanted an easy ornament...but couldn't find any existing tutorials online that met my desired criteria. So I made my own DIY Star Trek ornament craftable.

Here's a photo of the two example ornaments hanging on my mini-tree. Used pics of my cat in her Halloween bee costume (with goggles for her laser therapy, which I think look cool), and one of me in my WoW Troll Druid Bear partial. They're made from a design printed on paper and glued to a Fancy Feast box. Obviously there's more steps than that, but I'm showing off my final product with this image. (Kinda multi-project showing, since I made my cat's bee costume and my WoW bear partial.) The Intrepid-class starship ornament (featuring my cat) is double-sided. It has a no-photo-opening back side. The 'arrowhead' with my bear partial is one-sided. They were fun to make, but I was really rushed 'cause I wanted to get the newsletter out ASAP.
