Danny is a traveling bard. AKA a musician in a somewhat fantasy setting. He'll get around to visiting Breezer's village soon.
Very few of Danny's people are interested in music in any way. Fewer still have any talent for it. His home village had no musicians, on no program for teaching music. He did manage to receive a radio as a gift from a friend of the family so he listened to musicians and singers every night. At his "Adulting Day" celebration, Danny announced his intention to become a professional musician. Almost the entire village scoffed.
He sent an application to a prestigious music academy by way of a passing adventurer who said that there was a music school right next door to the academy that taught him his adventuring skills. That fall, his town's trading caravan dropped Danny off at the music academy, expecting to pick him up a few days later, his dreams crushed by a lack of talent, or a lack of funds. A few days later, when they didn't find him sitting dejectedly outside the front gate, his uncle went inside to find him. Uncle was informed that Danny had been awarded a scholarship and would be staying for at least two years to learn more and become better.
Uncle dragged a bewildered Danny out to the caravan where he and the villagers with the wagons could exchange parting words.
Danny has mastered a wide variety of music styles and genres, as well as more than one instrument. He is also quite the capable vocalist. Danny has yet to start traveling with a set band. Rather, he travels with any other bard who is going the same direction.
