A weight equivalent to millions of metric tons was more than enough to sink the ground to a depth of almost two kilometers. Ratchet took a seat, his rear end landing carelessly. Tired of having to travel through galaxies, it was pleasant and comforting to rest on some planet he had stumbled upon by chance. The boy even took the trouble to remove his boots before leaving his ship, letting the soles of his sweaty feet feel the cool, strangely soft earth of the planet.
Once seated, Ratchet not only rested and breathed a sigh of relief at being able to be outside his ship for a while: he examined his surroundings and realized that the planet in question seemed extremely strange and unusual, a landscape unlike anything he had ever seen before. He moved his feet, flexing them, molding the ground as if it were mud, the earth sticking to the soles with sweat that acted as a natural glue, bits of earth and dusty clumps falling along with drops of stale sweat.
"This planet is so... strange."
Oblivious to the true nature of the planet, millions of terrified human screams fell on deaf ears, millions of screams that would later be pulverized and silenced eternally by the stomping of a giant god, whose feet moved as if they were living continents.
