Here is another commission for one of my best clients! Totally out of the realm of what I normally draw, or it would be if I didn't commit to Inktober so hard in 2024. It was difficult to know exactly what to do to make the original Zavi character creepy or "sketchy" in a similar way to Slenderman, as I was asked to do. While keeping the character recognizable? Impossible. I usually draw cute things, like Zavi. So, this is more so a cryptid 'inspired' my Zavi's design. It took a LONG time too. The teeth especially. Why did I draw every tooth in this monstrosity? Huge time-consuming mistake. It came out looking good I think overall. Took lots of inspiration from Berserk and leaned on Western comic book-style drawings.
