I use a fur texture brush and I have a technique to smudge the edges to look like fur, I keep improving and I've found that using a 4 or 5 pixel fur brush is the best, I actually sorta learned this method from my freshman year computer art class but instead of fur texture brushes, we added a noise filter and smudged that, it wasn't until almost 2 years ago when I discovered fur brushes and then some time after that I smudged the outside. Also if you want to try the smudge methos I think the pixel size probably depends on the resolution of your image, I usually have mine pretty high.

People call me grandma for a reason, being too old in spirit doesn't mean you can't be obsessed like crazy over stuff like brushes, maybe you can have 4 groups of brush types? I like to put my brushes into groups and that helps a lot.

I meant old man in the way that technology.... wouldn't say "scares" but i sure ain't fond of it lol. I'd rather avoid anything other than the basics, yknow? The group thing does sound helpful tho :3
