So I was trying to think of ideas to toss  Carnival's way recently... normally I take cues off suggested themes, but this was sort of a catch-up situation without too much specific theme, so I just went with a Hallowe'en dressup/cosplay idea. And so I suddenly thought of the mouse I mentioned in my Cosplay story who was dressed as Valsione from Super Robot Wars. Carni's big on anime/manga stuff and has drawn armour before, so I figured it would work out well. And it certainly did. This mouse obviously put a lot of work into her outfit for the convention!

(Also, yes, Valsione is basically what you get when you take the French word 'Falchion', meaning a form of medieval European curved sword, and transliterate it into Japanese and then back again. There are a surprising number of Japanese mecha names that make more sense when you realize they're actually transliterated names of other weapons.)
