To be fair, they are weird aren't they? I was daydreaming the other day and I was thinking "If I was trying to remember how to make myself look human... How would I make lips? Like I couldn't just magically turn into one, I had to physically manifest it by thinking about the design". Cos I mean, what's too big? Too small? Narrow? Too high up, too low, overbite, underbite, colouring, and then there's eyes, nose, ears, it's so god damn much!

Human bodies are weird when you think about it, what's right or wrong is incredibly subjective. And if I'm overthinking it based on a fictional situation, I imagine it's worse for people drawing them.

This is why I don't draw realism. Even though I am able to draw humans, I make them cartoony. I had a client asking me to draw a human but more realistic. I did my best but he later demanded me a refund after I sent him two sketches. I made it clear that I don't do realism but he didn't care. I banned him for violating my ToS.

Humans are overrated. Furries are where it’s at.

And thats why I stick to drawing anime and cartoon humans.

I found a kind of way to draw humans that lets me actually see it to completion. Kind of taking inspiration from designs like Billy Hatcher or more 90s/early 2000s anime like Yugioh with sharp looks and wild hair. That seems to help a ton. Though mine tend to look more like powerpuff girls. I really need to stylize them to make it work for me.
