There's Nothing to Fear
Inspired by the song "Sunspots" by NIN. And Amberly, "Soul Hunter". I miss you, my friend.
I'm going to keep this tradition of drawing her something as long as I can. I know she woulda thought it was cool. She used to say the Sunspots song was her character's theme, and every time I had this epic vision of her walking down a dusty road. So! I decided to try and draw it out this time.
Now I just stare into the sun
And I see everything I've done
I think I could have been someone
But I can't stop what has begun

And there is no place left to run

Oh my absolute goodness, that is some luscious painting. I could stare at this for hours.
It's also vaguely similar to the image I've had kicking around in my head to go along with "Voodoo Cowboy" by The Cat Empire. Someday it'll get done. c:

Oh, their whole body of work is absolutely wonderful. I don't think there's a Cat Empire song that I don't like. :D
I think the album that one's from (So Many Nights) is one of their more magical, so if that magical feeling is what caught your ear then do check it out. The Darkness is another cool track off that album that you might like for the same reason!

Haha I thought so too, but it really fits who she was. And I don't mind at all! She was one hell of a friend, her fursona/favorite animal was a snow leopard for as long as I can remember. So, since her unfortunate passing, I've been drawing her something (at least) once a year, in remembrance.
