Jay is the youngest of the 6 main characters in my wheelchair basketball comic, Juggernauts, and the one who I think was the hardest to design haha. Balancing all those highly saturated colours was not easy 😂.
He's an extremely shy 16 year old rainbow lorikeet who grew up with extremely overprotective parents. His parents insisted on speaking for (and often over) him, resulting in him not really developing much in the way of social skills or independence. Basketball has been one of the few places where they've given him space, since they are long-time friends of the coach, and being on the team has done wonders for him on this front, though he still has a long way to go, and is often very quiet around new people.
