Gunter Goat and Maxine Mink are two of my favorite characters that I've created, and I've managed to come up with a lot of ideas for them. Sort of a mishmash of Warner Bros. influences - the romantic nature of the Pepe le Pew series combined with the fanatical obsession of the Road Runner/Wile E. Coyote series - the typical plot involves the hapless Gunter trying in vain to win the apathetic Maxine's heart, no matter how humiliated he becomes in the process.

This is a concept drawing I did for their first story, where Gunter tries to take Maxine out to dinner. Gunter stays hopeful, Maxine is utterly bored, and it ultimately ends in disaster for the lovesick goat when he gets in a tussle with the diner's hulking, easily angered chef.
