This is a concept drawing for an idea I had for a story with some of my BarbozaToon guys. Being classic cartoon characters, they would have been prominent in 1940s popular culture, and it only makes sense that they would have been involved in the World War II effort.

As you can see, Commander O'Hare makes a much more capable soldier than Smelson Skunk and Ken Kangaroo do. Meanwhile, Buckie Beaver thinks he can dodge the draft by dressing as a woman, but he only ends up in a munitions factory with Vixen the Reindeer instead.
