Victor Van Pelt, how to describe him? He is a Rancher, a Veterinarian, a Marine Helicopter Pilot, a Father figure, and a Friend. While he was originally not going to be as deep of a character when I first started drafting the story, he has since become one of the deepest characters that I have created. As of posting this, I have reached 172 pages and with any luck I might finish one of the main chapters in the next couple months, baring burnout and other complications. After that, I can then start posting some of the other intermission episodes that I have penned up since they are set after this main chapter.

One of the important aspects of the stories in the "The Doctor is In" canon is the theme of hope. While it is not as prevalent in the two stories I have posted, other stories will showcase the growth of Victor himself and his growing found family in the various Mooroos/Bullroos, Friends (both humans and not), and possible love interests as he struggles to be the man that everyone sees him as.
