Salem is a witch/werewolf who has been kidnapped by space pirates. They seek his magical knowledge often and even drag him on adventures, but he's a cowardly fellow and so usually hides behind said pirates when he's out on one of these adventures! In spite of his friendly and timid nature, he is fascinated by the macabre. He keeps a very detailed log of any dark magic spells he finds and is also interested in historical crime. Still, he won't use these evil spells, but he can't bear to delete them off his grimoire all the same.
