Laser is a mouth-lacking Pikachu made entirely out of concentrated light with a body shape, being all red with no pupils in his eyes and a diamond shape on his chest. But he isn't alone locked in this room in this unethical science facility. There is another male Pikachu made out of light just like him here, one named Ray, though this one's blue and has an actual mouth. They hold onto each other closely, since all they got to face the horrors in here is each other. Just a matter of time until more torture excused as "scientific experiments" is done on them. "It's gonna be okay, Laser...", Ray assures him, "I don't know yet how but... we will get out of here. They just need to slip up with one of their many safety measures..." Laser can't exactly respond, mute because of his lack of mouth, so Ray keeps talking: "If you end up getting the chance to escape, you'll break me out. If I'm the one, I'll get you out with me. That's a promise." Ray then gives a soft kiss where Laser's mouth would be as the red Pikachu holds onto the blue one's face in the process, "I love you, okay? We'll survive."

"Don't let him get away!", one of the scientists in this building screams while Ray mercilessly slaughters anyone getting in his way using his own body. With all the torture they put him through, it's no wonder he doesn't even consider mercy. Finally, he gets to where Laser is tied to a table right now, with special equipment that can do so despite what Laser is made out of. Laser looks relieved that Ray got to him. Now they can finally escape together. But... then Ray says: "I guess this is where our ways part, huh?" Laser doesn't understand. Or maybe he doesn't want to understand the implication of that statement. Ray chuckles some, telling the red Pikachu: "Uhh yeah, this is awkward, but I think I'll break up with you now. I don't really need you, though it was nice to have some company while I was stuck here, haha. Now if you excuse me, I'm gonna get my freedom now." With those words of painful betrayal, Ray leaves Laser behind, knowing full well that Laser is gonna continue to face horrific torture until getting a chance to escape himself. Laser doesn't even know how to feel about this turn of events. He feels angry, but also sad, tired and heartbroken. Ray didn't seem to even consider helping him get out as well like he promised he would. The scientists fail keeping Ray from getting away, but end up noting that at least they still have one Laserchu left to experiment on.
About four years later...

Ray is flying through space at light speed with an egotistical grin on his face. Finally, he reaches Planet Infamy, previously known as Planet Placentia before the villainous Team Infamy successfully achieved world domination on there. Team Infamy, which includes Laser as one of the members. The blue Laserchu gets to where this group of four is on here, the other three members being a blood and wound covered Shiny Eevee named Bloody Mary, a skeletal looking Beedrill named Exo and a digital looking white Celebi named B1nary. Laser almost can't believe his eyes seeing this guy here. Ray starts as if he never did anything wrong: "Heeeeyyy Laser, how've you been? I see you eventually managed to escape too, eh?" Laser looks pissed off, which the other Team Infamy members quickly catch onto, as Bloody Mary asks: "Wait a second... Is this Ray?" "Ah, I have been mentioned to you guys?", Ray confirms who he is, with Bloody Mary telling him: "You son of a bitch hurt my friend. Badly." But the blue one shrugs in apathy: "Only emotionally." Bloody Mary and B1nary are already about to attack the traitor, but Laser holds them back.
Then Ray says: "So you've decided to become a villain, haven't you? Couldn't manage to escape what abomination you are, unlike me who fully embraced it. Are you jealous? You should be, because oh boy is your life going down a pathetic route." B1nary remarks: "This guy's a major asshole." "It's how I get by.", Ray replies with a wink, "Anyway, just wanted to check on how miserable you are. Judging by the look on your face, you're still hurt. Geez, Laser, it's been four years. You act as if starting your life with months of violent torture would scar you for life- Oh wait, that's exactly what it did to you, isn't it? Hahaha, well, I'm glad to not be in your position. I mean, it's gotta have been awful to be betrayed by the only person you could rely on, right? So, so sad, hehehe..." Exo questions: "Are you sure you're not also a villain yourself?" "Nah.", Ray disagrees, "I'm just a dick." "At least he's self-aware about it.", B1nary notes before Ray says goodbye: "Well, that's all, don't let the trauma distract you from your sad life too much, Laser. I'll be heading to Earth to chill. See ya, losers." And with that, Ray flies off. Team Infamy already wants to go right after him but again, Laser stops them, with a look telling them that this is something personal he wants to deal with by himself. "If you're sure.", Bloody Mary says to that, which Laser nods to before he flies off towards Earth himself.

On Earth, Ray says to a Shiny Houndoom passing him by: "Hey, nice ass." The canine replies: "You're being a creep." But Ray just shrugs to that as he keeps walking. Not long after that, Laser lands down here in this forest too, right in front of Ray who reacts to seeing him: "Damn, can't let go of what I did to you, eh? Pathetic." Laser doesn't hesitate any longer, attacking his easily hateable ex-boyfriend, though Ray fights back, leading to the two Laserchus to battle each other at extremely high speeds. With both of them being near-invulnerable, this remains limited to pain and it's easy to tell how angry Laser is at him with how he fights him.
This ongoing battle gets the attention of a Raichu with purple markings named Fujishoku, who immediately makes his way to them despite the danger. "Woah, they're fast!", Fujishoku realizes, "Hey, you two! Stop fighting for a second, I'm sure you can simply talk about your differences!" Ray almost tries to just kill the approaching Raichu for attempting to interrupt them, but Laser prevents it, making Ray laugh and point out: "Seriously? You already have the blood of innocent people on your hands, especially since your team released the huge threat that Cronus is." But Laser looks at him in a way to let him know that this fight here is only between the two of them. This doesn't stop Fujishoku from trying to stop it though, even if while being strong himself, he can't even remotely compare to what power level those two Laserchus are at compared to him. He can't even touch them, they're made out of concetrated light after all, like living laser beams.
The fighting's intense attacks eventually ends up leading to all three of them to crash through the floor into an underground cave with a luminescent underground lake in their view. As the physical altercations continue down here, a powerful beam attack coming from Ray ends up pushing Laser right into the lake from the force of it, with Fujishoku jumping into the body of water to avoid getting killed from being hit by that. When Fujishoku and Laser get out of the water, the Raichu asks the red Laserchu: "You okay?", with Laser just questioning why Fujishoku would even care. Does he not know who he is a member of? Does he not know about the things he has done as a villain? "Laser, right?", Fujishoku turns out to have heard of him, which makes this behavior all the more perplexing to Laser. But no time to dwell on that now.

Fujishoku and Laser can feel that something has changed about them. As Fujishoku looks back to the lake, he figures it out: "That lake's full of infinity energy, I think. One way to find out!" And just as he thought, Fujishoku finds himself capable of mega evolving now, something he couldn't do before being in that lake, turning into a Mega Raichu X with purple markings. Seeing that, Laser knows he gotta at least try it too. The artifical way he was made could allow for him to skip right to a mega evolution without even needing to evolve into a Raichu first after all. And this indeed turns out to be the case, when Laser turns into a still mouth-lacking purely red Mega Raichu Y, of course still made out of light. In response to seeing that, Ray of course wants to get in the water too, but Laser prevents it. Fujishoku still isn't of much use in this fight despite having mega evolved, as he is still up against people made out of concentrated light far stronger than him.
But for Laser, the Mega Evolution evidently makes him seemingly capable of breaking laws of physics by being even faster than light, and even more powerful than he already was before. So while Ray and him were evenly matched up until this point, now Ray has to realize he is being overpowered by the one he betrayed in the past. "Ah shit shit shit shit shit!", Ray comments on this. And eventually, after getting Ray down on the ground below him, Laser blasts him with a particularly powerful laser beam, so powerful that Ray gets straight up pulverized from it despite being made out of light himself. "Did... Did you have to kill him??", Fujishoku wants to know but Laser looks at him in a way like telling him that Fujishoku would understand if he were in Laser's shoes. The two of them turn back into their regular non-mega forms before simply parting ways, though Laser isn't leaving Earth just yet, still processing the whole situation regarding Ray.
