❌ DO NOT TRACE, REPOST, HEAVILY REFERENCE, RECOLOUR OR SELL MY ARTWORK FOR ANY REASON. ❌🐶🐺I made this as a submission for an art event that was being hosted by Nowt Special! There wasn't a massive guideline to work off, other than the theme of Halloween and the phrase "Memento Mori", so I had an open field to work with. I decided to make a deer the focal point of this illustration as I don't really know why.. but that was where my brain was drawn to upon hearing the theme. I really wanted to create something that was sinister and unsettling without relying on gore. I was inspired by the style of Pitch Canker and I think that inspiration has clearly come through within this drawing. Also, considering that it can take me weeks (sometimes even months) to finish an artwork, this is one of the fastest artworks I have made this year, only taking me a week to complete.. and honestly, I'm proud of the outcome. 🐺🐶
