This is the Gypsy Vanner mare and foal together. The mare is just about 10 inches tall at the top of her head. I have lovingly created her by wrapping a wire armature skeleton in fiberfill and then needlefelting over it. This gives her the ability to stand on her own and hold a pose, but still remain soft and cuddly from the felting process. She has glass bead eyes and her hooves are made of Super Sculpey and she even has painted horseshoes. I felted her special so she has a gorgeous flowing mane and tail, and even feathering of the legs. Her foal is just about 6 inches tall at the top of his head and also has Super Sculpey hooves and glass bead eyes. He has also been felted over a wire armature skeleton so he can be posed quite easily.

A large needlefelt sculpture like this is perfect for an animal lover with gentle hands. Because of the materials they are made of and the way I make them, they are not intended for very little children.
