Something that people do in fanon a lot, I think, is to characterize a pony that's the creator of something like the audience for something. So, for example, assuming Rarity is runway hot when she's a fashion designer, not a model, or assuming Vinyl is into parties cus that describes the stereotypical EDM-listener, but not necessarily an EDM producer.
It's not wrong per se, but it can be kind of interesting when people think outside those boxes, like here.
