The Master of Monsters and Maidens.

I will admit that I did not start looking into Budd Root till I was well into my arty farty journey. I had seen his works pop up from time to time but I didn't really dig into him till about a year ago. I was looking for more art ventures that interested me and I remembered how much I would enjoy the pulp nature of old sci-fi books at the library when I was younger. The Monster and Maiden affair was something I started getting keenly interested in and wanted to experiment more with, so I started looking around for artists that emulated that feel.

Scales and Tails

What initially caught my attention was Budd's ink work, he could draw one mean ass dinosaur. I believe he took a lot of inspiration from the Universal Monster films and it shows in many of his works. The strong ink lines and defined shape of his Frankenstein, the claustrophobic atmosphere of Dracula's Dungeon, the aesthetic was something instantly grabbed my attention.

Cavewoman

I would be remiss if I did not talk about Cavewoman. Confidant, cute and curvy. She is playful but also super adorable. Well rounded and super strong. Her curly hair and captivating smile draw you in and the cheesecake art makes you stay.
