This poem is written by Alýviendámi, a feathered Western Dragon character from a yet unnamed, more classical high fantasy setting of mine. She was sold as an egg by her mother to the village blacksmith, who hatched her and then abused her for most of her childhood, until she burned the place down and escaped. This is one of her self-conciliatory poems from her journal, which she kept hidden until she escaped to the Highlands five years after writing it. That is another story and will feature soon enough.
