after ~2.5 years, finally get disability and can work towards rebuilding my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm going to work towards retraining to be a Physical Therapist and do personal art on the side, maybe a comm every here and there in exchange for books or something. Still going to take a while before I can move out but get to build towards it!!

Congrats, my dude. I just got approved for it myself earlier in the year after years and years and going through like 3 different lawyers. Had a brain tumor myself back in the mid '10s and had to spend years re-leaning how to read and speak correction. Might not be a ton of money, but at least getting some help is great.
If nothing else, it pays to research lawyers before you sign up. My problem was i went to the wrong lawyer. I was still struggling with basic reading during my recover so I let my mother start the process. Problem is she went with just the first search online for lawyers in town. Just turned out to be the worst rated lawyer in the area. Second lawyer tried, but that first lawyer didn't forward any files so the court just punted the case. Gave up for a few years before trying again. But this time with proper documentation and with a well rated lawyer. Got approved as soon as I got the hearing.
So if nothing else, for anyone else that might be in a similar situation, always check to find a good specialist attorney for disability.
