A group of my favourite characters belonging to a story I'd like to dub Content Contortions. Please read ahead.

PLOT OUTLINE:
A crew of traveling aliens from the far reaches of all over the galaxies, the crew of the Beacon's sole mission in space is to collect and harvest Serum, the most powerful liquid substance in the galaxy. It would seem like a peaceful mission, but unfortunately power-hungry rebels have discovered a way to turn Serum into a deadly poison, a potent nerve gas, to solidify it and turn it into bullets and missiles, and other such destructive means. Now, the crew of the Beacon is in a race with the rebels, called Leviathans, to try and gather up the remaining bits of Serum in the galaxies. One side's victory will mean peace throughout their galaxies. The other side's victory will mean defeat and destruction of the entire universe.

DELUKKA.
DeLukka is from the bird-like race called Hreenitarians. He's the son of a prized ship pilot who died in the war. He's quite young, but skilled in medical, though he seconds in engineering and is the one who keeps his ship, the Beacon, running and well prepared. He's stern and serious and has a negative outlook on life, but treats the team like his family. Determined to help out with causes in the war -- even if it meant doing it illegally! -- DeLukka betrayed his family's trust by stealing his late father's ship. He first traveled alone, but while on a remote planet met one of the last of the rare alien species known to still protect the pure, natural forms of Serum, Arrka. Later, they rescued Quills and Mime, and their team was formed. In the team, DeLukka is seen as the fun-spoiling big brother.

ARRKA.
His race is very well-hidden by their camouflaged fur on their own planet, thus few know they exist. DeLukka stumbled across him when he stopped at the planet to gather Serum in its extremely rare natural healing form found only on Arrka's planet. At first Arrka attacked him, thinking he was a member of the Leviathans come to rob the planet of its remaining resources, but DeLukka managed to convince Arrka that wasn't his intention. He now travels with DeLukka in his journey across the galaxy to gather untouched specimens of Serum. He is short tempered and vicious, and wastes no time jumping to conclusions about situations. He has a strong bond with DeLukka because DeL was the first creature from another planet to talk to him. In the team, Arrka is seen as the rebellious middle brother.

MIME.
From a remote and primitive species living peacefully on their home planet Re'eggan, Mime is the youngest male in his village. When visiting his planet to search for Serum, DeLukka, Arrka, and Quills discovered him being chased by a predator on the planet. DeLukka and Arrka refused to get involved, so they watched while the creature killed him. Quills grabbed DeL's gun and frightened the creature off. Unwilling to stand by and let Mime die, Quills dragged him aboard and injected him with the last remaining pure Serum solution on the ship. Miraculously, it brought Mime back to life, but with dire consequences; the Serum, being too potent a form, dissolved and adapted his blood, turning it literally into Serum. As is his people's culture, Mime chose to remain with Quills and the Beacon crew, claiming that Quills was now his master and he owed a lifetime of service for Quills saving his life. He is prideful of his home tribe and customs. In the team, Mime is seen as the quiet, withdrawn sibling, mostly staying out of the way, but loyally there to help his team if they need it.

QUILLS.
Outgoing, young, energetic, and mischievous, Quills is a bright soul in an immature mind. He was rescued from a Leviathan pirate ship by DeLukka and Arrka, whom had to destroy the pirate ship to stop it from destroying the Beacon. Quills claims to be an orphan, having lived from place to place as a thief and pickpocket. He calls himself a wanderer, and pleaded to join up with DeLukka and Arrka to "stop more bad guys." DeL calls him foolish and Arrka calls him reckless. He is lighthearted and always ready for a fight to help people out. He's the one who saved Mime from death by injecting him with pure Serum, forever indebting Mime's life to him unknowingly in the process. He sees this self-proclaimed-life-sentence as both unnecessary, but cool at the same time, and has no shame in treating Mime like his personal servant -- much to Arrka and DeLukka's exasperation. In the team, Quills is seen as the spunky little brother.
