The man, the myth, the legend Fred Perry.

In my younger years the comic bookstore that I hung out at had a bin of one dollar "anime" comics. In that bin there were a lot of Viz and Western Anime inspired comics. Past the Ranma 1/2, Maison Ikkoku and Lum ( Not sure why all the Rumiko comics were there ) was Gold digger and Ninja High School. I had to get the Gold Digger comic. It had all the right stuff to grab my attention, stacked heroine, skimpy swimsuits and an anime aesthetic. I was sold.

Years later when I was on 4chan browsing the flash board I was re-introduce to Fred through the animation he made " You are a Pirate". It was blast seeing his work again.

Oh no, everyone is hot.

One thing that I will always appreciate about Fred's work is that everyone is hot. The guys are hot, the girls are hot, even the robots, that dude has a skill to just make it all attractive. His clean line work and crisp colors draw me but his dynamic posing is what I stick around for. He seems like a super humble dude who really loves what they do.
