The village of Fengcun (feng-syuun), located in southern Tibet, is situated on a mountain in the center of a half-valley, and is home to the Fengren people, bird-folk who worship the winds and the sky.

That's going to take an extra hour or so to walk up to that Village.
Isn't there any latters for shortcuts or something of the like.

The Fengren stay up there, and they aren't concerned about visitors much.

Now I can imagine that foreign merchants just going to park at the base of the mountain & set up by the river.
Might be dangerous but what can you do about not wanting to waste energy hauling up selling items.
