"i don't understand" Cody puzzled, as he open and closed the throttle, trying to get the newly overhauled Pioneer to move. "He's not making steam properly" said Libby, and she climbs the tender top, to check the tenders water tank to see id the injector pipes are blocked up. Pioneer on the other hand, feels awful, sick, and ashamed he's not working just 4 hours after leaving the shop. Cody climbs down and looks at pioneers fire box, then checks his flues.
"its not the water" Libby shouts
"i know" Cody hollers back, climbing into the cab "his flues are stuffed up, and probably his pipes as well"
"damn" says Libby disappointed "this mean" Cody continued "he has to go back to the shop for cleaning, he's to hot now to do it, so he's gotta have his fire dropped"
"oh dear" though pioneer "the last thing i wanted was for this to happen"
he mopped as he felt the heat of his fire slowly fade, knowing that he had just wasted his crews time, something he really dislikes.
