So, I was out walking and for some reason or other (Not disclosed) I found this beetle lying in a pill of carpenter ant wood filings. unfortunate it was dead, but it is still quite a nice specimen.
After doing a little looking around and a suggestion from the good people, I have come up with an answer. It is a Parandra brunnea a insect that is related to the long horned beetle in one of its three sub genera.
